Sometime we face below error while running an import from SAPM/SAINT

Issue:

When attempting an import using the SPAM/SAINT an error occurs or While defining the import queue an error message is displayed and from this point SPAM/SAINT import cannot be continued.
“Currently runs an update process started by the Software Update manager (SUM)” and for the case of using the CRM ADDON MANAGER, below error occurs:
“ERROR: ” queue locked”

Solution:

* Search for the upgrade log directory in AL11 transaction on all application servers in the DIR_PUT/log directory.
for example /usr/sap/put/log; /usr/sap/SID/SUM/abap/log; d:\EHPI\abap\log etc.
* Identify the used update tool, the target release and the phase when the upgrade or EHP installation was stopped in one of the following logfiles:
* SAPupConsole.log, SAPehpiConsole.log, SAPup.log, SAPehpi.log
* Continue the upgrade or reset it.

This usually happen when incomplete upgrade is left in system or not properly cleaned up.

The process how to continue/reset an upgrade/update is described in the corresponding upgrade/update guide, that you can follow.
